For those of you who DON’T want your tattoos anymore, never fear, there is a new alternative other than the painful lasering away of a tattoo. There is a new cream out that is PROVEN to remove those unwanted tattoos. It doesn’t take one application though. Your skin doesn’t magically become normal again after one day. Everything worth having requires a little work. You will start to notice results in 4-6 weeks.

This cream is applied every other day to your skin using 2 different methods of skin exfoliation. The first method uses a tiny hand held device the removes the upper layer of the epidermis, and guess what, it’s pain free!!! The second method is using a cream that deeply penetrated the dermis and the subcutaneous layer of your skin and slowly (but effectively) breaks up the cells where the ink is embedded.

Renewing the skin is a key part to getting those ink embedded cells to the surface. Usually Lasering a tattoo away is painful and leaves your skin dry and itchy. Well, good news, it doesn’t have to be that way anymore!!

I know people who have even used wrecking balm as a magic eraser so they can get something different tattooed in the same spot. Sounds crazy, but after about a month their tattoo was faded enough to the point where they could get tattooed again without noticing the underlying tattoo.

I strongly recommend wrecking balm for anyone who wants to get rid of their tattoo without the dryness and discomfort of laser treatments.

If anyone is thinking about getting white tattoos, there are a few things you should know first. Be careful with the white ink. Continue reading →

Seems like a good idea, right? The kind of tattoos that look like a brand and for pale people, don’t stand out as much as a yellow or peach color. Well, I hate to break it to you, but white ink is the HARDEST ink to put on your body. Especially if you are tan.

Usually if you are tan, the white ink will just fade back into your skin. So the time, money and pain that you gave up for that tattoo will mean nothing. It’s not worth it. If you want a tattoo that is almost invisible, or hard to see, you might want to go with a pale color, like a peach or a yellow. White ink is not for tan people.

Pale people, I have some good news for you!!!! For once you have an advantage to being pale. You can easily get these white ink tattoos, but that means you have to continue to stay out of the sun or you cool new white ink tattoo will fade. At first glance, people will think you branded yourself.

When you get this new white ink tattoo, the first two weeks are going to worry you a little bit.
First, the tattoo is going to stand out a LOT more than you expected it to. Don’t worry, it will fade a tiny tiny bit as it heals. It won’t fade to the point where you’ll barely be able to see it. It will fade to the point there people who don’t know you, won’t notice it unless they really look at it. If anything it’ll look like a scar or a brand, like I said before.

Second, during the first two weeks it is going to turn yellow. You might freak out and think that the tattoo artist screwed up, but trust me, they didn’t. It’s part of the healing process, it’s going to be yellow for about a week, then it is going to turn back to white.

Third, Make sure your artist outlines the tattoo with water. If you have seen the tattoo outlines that they put on you before they start tattooing, the majority of them are purple. Well, If your artist starts tattooing white ink over the purple outline, your tattoo is going to come out lavender. Usually, there is no way to change that.

Most people tend to think that these white ink tattoos look cooler than regular color tattoos because they’re something different and usually hard to see.

See that picture in the header? Yup. That’s my tattoo.

Just you you don’t think I’m going to steer you wrong about tattoo care, I’ll post some pictures of my tattoos. For now I have 5. All of which I took care of the same way.

The particular tattoo in the header took 3 hours. It was 3 hours of nothing but pain. The outline didn’t hurt so bad, but it was the shading. My tattoo artist used larger needles so it wouldn’t hurt as bad, but when you constantly go over the same site with a needle, it begins to hurt very, very bad after a while.
Not to mention that I froze in the tattoo shop. Lack of clothing, plus the open skin made it 10 times colder for me than anyone else in there. So if you’re planning to get a tattoo that cover a large portion of your body, wear something warm.

The design itself was hard for me to pick out. I must have gone into the tattoo shop 10 different times before I figured out what I wanted. At first I wanted a long twisty vine, with a couple of flowers. But when I started looning more into it, I wanted more flowers with some meaning behind it. I like things with a bit of meaning behind them. So not only do my lilies have meaning, but the mixture of the colors have meaning as well.I still got a bit of my original twisty vine that I wanted, along with the hidden meaning.

All in all, I spent a LOT of time figuring out what I really wanted. I believe it was worth it, and I will love this tattoo for as long as I live. That’s what you want from a tattoo. Never just jump into it without figuring out what you really want first.

So, you just got a brand new tattoo? Or at least you’re thinking about it, right? Wondering how to take care of it? The first 2 weeks are absolutely crucial!

Listen to the person who is tattooing you. If he/she is at a reputable tattoo shop then chances are their advice is going to be best.

The first hour after you get your tattoo, leave the bandages on it!! Your Tattoo is an open wound at this point. You need to be extra careful with it.
When you wash your tattoo, then best way to wash it is wish antibacterial soap (Orange Dial soap works best), nothing scented!! After you wash it put antibacterial cream on it. Triple antibiotic, neosporin, or any over the counter cream works best. You don’t have to go crazy with it, you only need a little bit to cover the whole tattoo.

If you got the tattoo somewhere where clothes cover it, the antibacterial cream WILL get on your clothes. So if you care about your clothes, I suggest wearing something that you really don’t care that gets messy. Because it will.

You should wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day and always keep cream on it. For the first two weeks you want to prevent it from getting dry and scabbing over. Scabs tend to get very, very itchy and when they come off they sometimes take the color of your tattoo with it.

A normal tattoo will be itchy enough, but DON’T SCRATCH IT!!!! If it gets to the point where you can’t take how itchy it is then slap it. Slapping works just as well, it brings relief, but it’s not scratching. Scratching is bad for your new tattoo.

If it looks like your tattoo isn’t colored in all the way, wait until it’s healed to go back to your artist to have him fix it. That way you can stay focused on those little parts instead of the whole thing.
